SECTOR LEADERSHIP MANAGER

This role will be of interest to people able to assume a leadership role in developing, managing, implementing and reviewing Careerforce’s sector leadership and engagement functions.

This is an ideal opportunity if you enjoy working in a complex and ever-changing environment. You should be degree qualified, and have proven relationship-building and management skills – particularly in the health and disability sector and experience in workforce and business development. You should be degree qualified and have project management experience, preferably within a research-driven environment, and be able to demonstrate high-level engagement with a diverse client base. Work experience in the health, disability or communit support sector would be an advantage.

During the last five years Careerforce (Community Support Services ITO Ltd) has evolved to meet the changing needs of the health and disability sector. At present Careerforce supports: over 10,000 trainees in workplace based training; an expanding set of national qualifications from levels 2 - 7 on the NQF and sector engagement to support workforce development throughout the country. As the sector grows, its need for workplace based training and career pathways will continue to grow.

To meet and exceed these growth needs, Careerforce has recently commissioned an organisational review, to establish a new structure to support this growth and to enhance service delivery. This review has resulted in the creation of five new managerial positions, based at its Christchurch Head Office.

PATHWAYS MANAGER

The Career Pathways Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Careerforce’s pan-sector qualifications framework, including development of career pathways, registration of qualifications and unit standards, and the provision of associated learning and assessment resources.

You should be degree qualified, with a thorough understanding of the principles of qualification pathways development and of the importance of an integrated approach to progressive skills acquisition. You will have great facilitation skills and be a decisive leader with a background and knowledge of tertiary education institutions, processes and pedagogies, together with significant experience in the needs of industry in relation to interpreting unit standards including assessments and moderation.

DELIVERY MANAGER

Are you ready to lead the delivery and embedding of qualifications into health and disability workplaces? This role is ideal if you are familiar with tertiary education institutions, workplace based learning, and assessment programmes.

You should be degree qualified; have a background in staff and project management both on and off site and have experience in any of: customer services, contracts, assessor training or sector engagement. You will be results-focused, have excellent

communication, organisational and marketing skills, and the ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment.

This is a key relationship building role and will suit you if you are a critical and strategic thinker with the ability to build strong and cohesive teanms.

IT MANAGER

During the last five years Careerforce (Community Support Services Industry Training Organisation) has evolved to meet the changing needs of the health and disability sector. At present CareerForce supports: over 10,000 trainees in workplace based training; an expanding set of national qualifications from levels 2 - 7 on the NQF; and extensive sector engagement to support workforce development throughout the country. As the sector grows, its need for workplace based training will also continue to grow.

To meet the requirements of this growth, Careerforce has recently commissioned an organisational review to establish a new structure for future expansion and to enhance service delivery. This review has resulted in the creation of the IT Manager position based at their Christchurch Head Office.

As IT Manager you will lead a small local team of highly professional individuals in their day to day provision of computing services across a diverse range of applications and databases. 

You will define and maintain a consistent strategic vision for the use of information applications and technology as well as develop and implement IT policies and procedures and a disaster recovery programme. 

You will ensure that systems are operating to maximum capability and efficiency; and that they comply with the provisions of current legislation

around storage, confidentiality, privacy, access, reporting and release of data.

You will have a passion for leading by example and have highest quality customer services at the top of your agenda.

You will be experienced in supporting systems infrastructure including web and mobile technologies, applications and databases.  You will also have a passion for providing training to end users across the various business units.

Above all, you will have proven to be an excellent project and people manager with a desire to join this organisation for the long term and make a difference to the way they use technology.

This leadership role is critical to the organisation and will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package.
