Funders

Funders are a critical stakeholder for Careerforce at both workforce and workplace levels.

Within workforce the health and disability funder view, which includes extensive knowledge of the detail within service specifications and changes to service delivery models, informs the development of the pan sector learning/competencies pathway and other workforce initiatives.

At a macro level this information is forwarded to the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) which is the dominant education and training funder for industry based training.

Funders also inform and support Careerforce's activities with workplaces across their continuum. They may provide both specifications regarding employee competencies and national qualification expectations and resources to support learning and development cultures within workplaces.

The term funders include both those whom Careerforce contracts directly with and other Government organisations that can contribute to supporting training and education for the health and disability sector.
