Research

Careerforce's workforce development role is supported by a wide range of research activities, which provide a strong evidence base for both the strategic direction and the detail of the workforce development role. Careerforce's research falls into three main categories:

Labour market and demographic information

This involves monitoring and collating information from many different data sources, including the Department of Labour, Statistics New Zealand and the Ministry of Health.

Desktop research

This involves monitoring and assessing the impact of government strategies and policies (both health & disability and education-related); regional and local initiatives (e.g. District Health Board strategic documents); and international trends and developments (e.g. recent research on workplace learning).

Specific research projects

As the reports from these projects become available, they will be placed on the website.
