Resources
Careerforce has developed (and continues to develop) a range of resource materials to support workplace based training and assessment. The materials include assessment guides, workbooks, embedding qualifications guide, assessor training. CD ROM formats will also become available for some unit standards.

Trainees and their employer sign a training agreement with Careerforce which formally links them to achieving a national qualification. Depending on the national qualification each trainee receives the support resources available and can then begin training and assessment in the workplace.
(Please note: Some workplaces also use their own resources)
Assessment materials
Careerforce developed assessment is provided to the workplace for each trainee upon signing of a training agreement. This assessment requires each trainee to complete an assessment portfolio that comprises two sections:
- assessment tasks
- workplace verification tasks to confirm competency in practical tasks, understanding of policies and procedures, and application of learning to the job.
These are accompanied by workplace assessment portfolios for each unit standard which include model answers, evidence and judgements to ensure fair assessment practices.
For training providers who wish to offer this qualification, these assessment resources are available as PDF files (see each qualification). Training providers who wish to use their own assessment resources must have these moderated and approved by Careerforce prior to use.
Additional Support
Support also includes access to field-based Careerforce Workplace Advisors, Kaiwhakahaere and a Customer Services Team at our head office in Christchurch. Careerforce also provides free training for workplace assessors and verifiers and support graduation ceremonies for our trainees.
